TIDA-01606: Overlap of power and control line(Same as previous question but I didn't get the answer for it)

Part Number: TIDA-01606

Dear TI,

I have a question about the overlap of power and control line.

Based on my knowledge, control lines should avoid the power line.

However, in the circuit, there are a lot of overlap and close to each other.

Was it okay when you test it?

ex1 ) DC power line and gate signal overlap

ex2 )  5V and control signal

Best regards,

  • Hi Mingi,

In general, you're right about keeping high speed signals away from power lines / sensitive analog lines.  In some cases, if the traces have to cross you would want to cross at a 90 degree angle to minimize coupling.  In some cases, you should consider shielding the sensitive signals from noise with ground planes and guards.

The 1606 works as is but there could be room for improvement on the layout for sure.
