TIDA-01620: Is the TUSB544 required for lane orientation?

Part Number: TIDA-01620
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB422, TUSB544, HD3SS460

Hello,

I intend on using this architecture to convert USB-C video to DP upstream and back to USB-C downstream all in one board. Would the CC1/CC2 negotiations from the TUSB422 and MSP430 be sufficient to provide the correct video lane orientation (ie can we do without the TUSB544)? We are trying to minimise the number of components, given we are in essence combining two TIDA-01620s in one board.

Many thanks
