PMP10651: Technical Questions

Part Number: PMP10651

Tool/software:

Hello E2E Experts,

Good day.

1. What is the maximum effective capacity of the load capacitor of the split rail?
2. I will use two LMZ21701s to form 3.3V and 5V respectively, and they will occupy one layer of the PCB layer. Then I will use vias to supply the IC. In this case, can I improve the noise a little more by using a ferrite bead chip or an inductor in this situation where I cannot use a linear regulator?
3. The board space is limited, so the P-MOSFET should be a little smaller. Please recommend a replacement for SQJ461EP-T1-GE3.

<Total current consumption>
Split rail=+/-0.15A or less.
3.3V=0.5A or less.
5V=0.12A or less.

    1. The effective capacitance, due to DC bias of 15V, on one of the rail would be `6.93uf x 3= 20.79uF
    2. Yes, if you want to use a 2nd stage filter, make sure to include it into the loop, aka, have the feedback point after the bead. Bead will help with high frequency noise only, not low frequency so that will be ok.
