UCC24624: FOR LLC CONVERTER WITH 400V OUTPUT

Part Number: UCC24624

Tool/software:

Hello

I have an LLC DC-DC design with output voltage at 400V and I need to add synchronous rectification controller at the seconder side. I found UCC24624 IC and seems like ok for my design. However as mentioned in the datasheet the VD1 and VD2 pins of UCC24624 can handle up to 230V.If I use center tapped tranformer the voltage at each ouput side will be 200V.

So will the UCC24624  be fine for this design?

Best regards.

  • Hello,

Your inquiry has been received and is under review.

  • Hello,

In your LLC application if you have a 400 V output you will have 400 V across each secondary winding when delivering energy from the primary to the secondary.  What you have drawn is not correct.

When S1 is on and S2 is off, S2 will have 800 V across.  So you will not be able to use the UCC24624 in this application because the maximum absolute maximum ratings will be exceeded.
