Hi Team,

The soft start time says 500us for the voltage to come up
Below is the circuit sch snip attached, can you please confirm whether the delay provided to Enable pin can increase the delay from 500us to 1.5ms for the output voltage to come up ?

    The RC on the EN can delay the startup of the device. However if you wish to delay the startup by around 1ms, I would recommend making R2183 >30k.

    Below is a sim with 0.1uF cap and different values of R2183. 10k(Blue), 30K(Green), 40K (Cream). The device will start switching when EN is greater than 1V.

    Noted, but does that require any change in capacitance value, since to achieve 1ms delay, I would change the value form 0.1uF to 0.3uF. Would this change also affect the switching transition in the sim as well? 30k resistor with 0.1uF would increase the theoretical delay by 2ms from the required delay value although switching starts at 1ms. Please provide your suggestion on this.

  • Hi Karthik,

    Increasing the cap to 0.3uF will further increase the delay. To achieve the required delay, you can change either the cap or the resistor. 

    This is with 0.3uF cap and 10K (Green) , 30K (Blue)
