LM25010: How to get access to usable Spice simulation models for Altium Designer.

Part Number: LM25010
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61291

Tool/software:

Hi all,

Developing a project in Altium, it would be very nice to be able to do simulations etc under one roof. But I can't seem to figure out how to get my hands on usable models for TI components. PArt of this may well be my ignorance, so please go easy. For example, I have a design with a TPS61291 on it. It would be excellent to be able to simulate that in the context of the actual Altium PCB with all the trace parasticis and that good stuff. I assume I'd need a model that Altium can understand for that. The 2 models in the product page don't seem to be applicable. One is for TI's own simulator, and the other appears to be encrypted.

By way of a follow up, and potentially equally dumb question, given that rubbish in = rubbish out, would it be sensible for me to state that: if I can't get my hands on a model that I can use within my Altium simulation environment, it would be more worthwhile investigating the free TI option.

I'm exploring options here and keen for your thoughts on the best way to proceed to achieve the best / most worthwhile simulation outputs.

Thanks,

the monkey.
