Hello,

I've noticed an issue with the LM51561-Q1 PSpice model available on the IC details page. The model assigns the global node 0 to the ground pin, but it should be connected to the IC's dedicated GND pin instead.

In my current simulation, I encounter convergence issues when connecting my circuit ground to the GND pin because internally, the model is assigning GND to global node 0, which causes problems.

I believe the global "Node 0" needs to be replaced with the actual "GND" pin of the IC in the model. While I could manually make these changes, it involves numerous lines, making it impractical to do so.

Could you please assist by updating the PSpice model accordingly?

@Marshell_Beck is the one who provided the initial SPICE model file (7mons ago), so we may be able to reach out to him for assistance with this.

Can you in the meantime use your workaround and assigning the the ground yourself.

In the meantime, I am trying to find a workaround for my simulation. However, I am facing several issues as the tool does not perform particularly well when ground is set to Node 0.

Hi Shravan,

I am sorry to hear that the model is causing such difficulties due to the ground reference.
Right now our applications team is under heavy workload. This is why Moritz initially mentioned a fix of the LM5156 PSpice model could take several weeks up to months.
The model is initially intended to have both external and internal ground as ground 0.
If the the whole ground level of the IC needs to be shifted to a different voltage level, the model will not work properly as you mentioned right from the beginning of the thread.

Can you give more details why a ground shift is needed for your simulation application and what the simulations are required for? Based on this it might be easier to find a workaround which is faster than waiting for a fix of the PSpice model itself.
