LMR51420: Very long simulation time

The transient simulation takes 30 minutes at the old Laptop (8 cores). On the new laptop (32 cores) the same simulation takes 2 hours 45 Minutes. 

Same project, same simulation profile, 32 cores --> 5 times the simulation time. 

Hi Bernhard, that is odd. Maybe the processing utilization is limited in the settings on the new laptop. I would dig into that and the PSpice documentation pertaining to those settings.

Hi Marshall, I assume that the issue is caused by PSpice itself. LT-Spice simulations runs on double speed on the new laptop. The laptop is brand-new, so I think other users would have similar problems with PSpice for LT. Could you please find out, whether the PSpice team knows this issue and whether they are working on a solution. 32 Cores may be to much for the pc version of PSpice, I think. The server version will be able to manage many cores.
