Hi Team,

We have to design 4KW battery charger. Can you please support here.

Input range is from 110VAC to 270VAC & output will be 48-53VDC, @~80A.

Do you have any solution against it, Including power factor correction circuit?

For Power factor correction programming or Hardcore design both options will be ok.

We are looking for low-cost design, so hardcore mostly preferable.

I hope PMP22951 will work for DC-DC part? Or UCC28950 also work here for 4KW design. can you please guide on this.

Hi Ashutosh,

For PSFB, you can do either analog or digitally controlled PSFB. For analog control with UCC2951, you can refer to PMP8740 as an example. It is a 2kW battery charger design using PFC + PSFB: https://www.ti.com/tool/PMP8740

For PFC, I would recommend using UCC28070 for interleaved CCM or you could use totem pole PFC. Something like PMP4988 perhaps: https://www.ti.com/tool/PMP40988
