PMP9253: Low power low-cost isolated design suggestions

Hi, 

I am looking for high efficiency low-cost isolated dc -dc converter design for the below specification, kindly refer the reliable and proven reference design from TI. 

Input Voltage :18Vdc to 60Vdc 

Output: 5V @ 2.5A (EMI/EMC filter is optional)

I can see PMP9253 is one of the options but still the costing looks higher side. our target price for this design is <$7/board. Let me know your valuable comments to take the design forward.

    This design is already pretty low cost, non-synchronous flyback is the best option for these specifications.

    If you can lower the tolerance on the output you could do a PSR (primary side regulation) instead of using the opto coupler. 

    I would also suggest to change the controller to LM51551, this is lower cost than LM5022

    Thanks for your valuable suggestions. Yes, 5Vdc output with lower tolerance is acceptable since I am using LDO for 5V dc to 3.3Vdc down conversion for digital section biasing. 

    I am little hesitation to going with flyback PSR topology because it should not end up with custom transformer design which adds cost and time. Preferring for off the shelf components for speed up the design process.  Please suggest me If TI has any reference design for the PSR flyback for 5V @ 2A output design source with low-cost controller.  

    Also, need your support on selecting the H-bridge brushed DC motor driver IC for wide range input 18Vdc to 60vdc at max load current 8A, with current sense feature. 

    Let me know your promote response with solutions.
