Part Number: PMP23146

Tool/software:

Have anyone made and tested PMP23146 ?

any problems?

Thanks

  • Yes, we have test results of the design included on the web. If construction is managed okay, there are no issues.

  • Hi, Robert:

I really like this design PMP23146. it is a smart design to use the PCB trace as a transformer coils.

but I concern if the PCB fab tolerance will affect the result. is there any special requirement of the PCB fabrication?

by the way, can you share your design reference numbering. 23 in PMP23146 stands for year 2023?

    Thanks

    Forest

  • Hi Forest,

Yes the thickness of the board and the copper weight of the specific layers needs to be followed. But overall the fab tolerance is usually pretty good compared to winding the transformers.

For the numbering, nothing special, we just started with PMP20000 a number of years back and increase by 1 for every design our team does.

    Thanks,

    Robert

  • Hi, Robert:

Thank you for your quick reply. I find the PCB and the connector not match in the number of holes. did you cut the Pins manually of the connector GRPB102MWCN-RC ? please refer to the attached.

I plan to use this as AUX power supply to  TMS320F28379. The whole system is a 400V/28V DC/DC converter, 28V with multi channel output total power about 3KW.  I may need your help in the future. please comments if you have. thank you very much!

    Forest

  • Hi Forest, yes we adjust the connector so that it had the right number of pins and fit. You can choose any part with the right spacing, it is not that important.

Good luck with the design, let us know if you have questions.

    Thanks

    Robert
