PMP41062: TPS25751 become a sink when connect to cell phone

Tool/software:

We use TPS25751 in battery bank design. We also have a BQ25756 between TPS25751 and battery. We find when we remove the battery and the output connect to cell phone. Then the Bat+(charger output) has 42V voltage. It seems that the cell phone become a source. Even we had test the only 5V type-C adapter without CC analog. It has the same behavior.

We don't want the cell phone become a source. May I know how to do that? Thanks

Battery voltage: 30V to 40V

Battery open is 42V.

Type-C input: 5V or 9V

Hi Gary, PMP41062 is bi-directional power design, if your cell phone is configured to sink only, they it will not source power to the board, or if you need a source only design, then you might need to configure the power board PDO for source only, do you have the e-mail contact, so that i can bridge you to the right person for PDO configuration
