Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS26750, BQ25756, TPD4S480
Tool/software:
Hi,
The customer's PD system uses the PMP41115 solution, and there is a reference design on the TI official website
But there are a few issues that need to be confirmed,
1.Should the red X line in the picture below be correct? The customer thinks there should be no section. Please help explain.
2.TYPEC interface D+/D- only communicates with the motherboard system to transmit data via USB2.0, because the current circuit is connected to TPS26750
If you want to transfer data with the MCU motherboard system USB (DP/DM), how to operate, here are two ideas:
a. Can it be directly disconnected from the TPS26750 and then directly connected to the MCU motherboard system USB (DP/DM)? According to the specifications, the BC1.2 protocol can be abandoned and only PD3.0 is supported.
b. The original public version circuit design is maintained, but if necessary, please help tell how to maintain the MCU motherboard system USB (DP/DM) transmission data
3.Is there any need for firmware development in the future? If necessary, ASUS will have RD come out to handle it and can provide ASUS base code. As long as the files are complete, ASUS can develop it themselves.
4.The public version of the circuit schematic diagram contains an EEPROM. Is it necessary to include it? BQ25756 is controlled via I2C through TPS26750. Unless the relevant settings of BQ25756, such as charging voltage, charging current, etc., must be stored in the EEPROM.
Thanks!
Best regards,
