TIDA-010054: - & + as inputs and 3VAC as output with a NEUTRAL line Reference Design

Part Number: TIDA-010054
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-010938, , TIDA-010210, TIDA-01606

Tool/software:

Hi,

Good Day.

Do you have any reference design that has - & + as inputs and 3VAC as output with a separate NEUTRAL line.

In addition, the design has 2 VAC lines, would you like more info to help with the case because I was searching through the TI website before I came here for what I am looking for.

Well the TIDA-010054 and TIDA-010938 are both 10KVA, therefore I am looking for a 10KVA or higher type of design, I already have TIDA-010210 with me, however, it requires voltages around 600VDC~1000VDC to function. I would like a design that can handle a maximum of 500VDC 20A for the input, where the design will output 800VDC ~ 1000VDC.

I have 100 pieces of TEGs on the top and bottom side of my device where each is 50VA, the total power will be 50 x 100 x 2 = 10KVA, therefore, if the design can have MPPT, but it is not a must to have, that would be great. Due to TEGs having only 2 terminals (-&+), I could not find any design that had -&+ as input terminals and 3 VAC lines as output terminals with a separate NEUTRAL line.

Please advise. Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

Ray Vincent

  • Hello Vincent,

you might want to take a look at TIDA-01606. This is a T-Type 3 phase with neutral connection. Input can be the DC-Link input. Hope this is a good starting point.

  • Hi Harald,

    Good Day.

We can see there is E4, E5 and E6 in the BOM. From the technical documentation under Revision History, we can see there are various upgrades, therefore, these E4, E5 and E6, are they the current BOM for the TIDA-01606 or do I need to wait for a new BOM?

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Harald,

    Good Day.

I would like to follow up the latest concern of my customer.

    Best Regards,

  • Hello VIncent

allways download the most recent BOM in the tools folder. The Altium database in the CAD/CAE symbol is reflecting the latest version. Since this design is made out of three different boards, there are three different BOMs. And their revisions are different.

    - Gate driver card revision E5: holding all the gate drivers and respective isolated supplies

    - High Voltage Card revision E4: with isolated power supply and isolated voltage measurement

    - main power power board revision E6: with all the power converter components, control card connector etc.

All is described in the design guide and reflects the latest status. Please read through the design guide.

    Hope this answers your questions

    best regards

    Harald
