Dear TI team,

I'm currently working on real-time arc detection research in power electronics.

I have two questions.

Is it impossible to order the finished product of the TIDA-010231 model

and

is it impossible to provide the code for implementing arc detection in the video?

    Thanks for reaching out.
    We have to reference designs for Arc Detection.

    • TIDA-010231 is the older one, which uses an FFT based algorithm to detect arcs. This board is not available for purchase but we provide all design files including gerbers and Altium database online.. The software for TIDA-010231 is available in C2000-Digital-power-SDK.


    • The video shows that latest arc detection reference design called TIDA-010955. It uses FFT + Embedded AI for arc detection. Increasing accuracy and lowering false alarm.
      TIDA-010955 can be purchased. The Orderable part number for TIDA-01955 is TI-EVM-ARC-AFE. The SW for TIDA-010955/TIEVM-ARC-AFE will be available in the next weeks in C200-Digital-power-SDK as well.

    Both TIDA-01231 and TIDA-010955 are not finished products! These are evaluation platforms which can be used as a starting point to build a finished arc detection  product.
