PMP23146: Auxiliary Server power supplies || Load sharing requirements (droop control mechanism) for +12VSB Standby power

Part Number: PMP23146
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ATL431

Tool/software:

Hello all,

I came across PMP23146 which is a Auxiliary Supply Reference Design for Server PSU.  However, as per the Open Compute specifications for M-CRPS, Load sharing (using droop control) is an integral requirements.

Then, I came across Test report of PMP23146, where it is claimed that Worst-case 12VSB load current mismatch between 2 paralleled units is 30%.

From the test data in Section 3.2, it is inferred that output voltage droop control is used for load sharing. (Since output voltage drops 12.40V to 12.07V from no-load to full load under all operation input voltage conditions.)

Since I am also working on a relevant application, can anyone please let me how this voltage droop mechanism is implemented in this design.

Even, in general, how can it me implemented in any other TI Flyback controller.

Thanks and Regards,
Pratik
