TIDA-01513: Alternative to TPSI2140

Part Number: TIDA-01513

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

I need your support on the following request:

####################################

I am contacting you for technical support for the project in question, which concerns a board for measuring the leakage current between the chassis and the battery on board forklifts.

The board detects the presence or absence of electrical insulation.
For this project I am using the TIDA-01513 as a reference design.
In the automotive field, the state of the art involves using a series resistor string at the input to lower, for example, the 400V battery to the values allowed by the downstream operational amplifier that measures the leakage.

My project involves using the board on board several forklifts that use different battery voltages (from 80V to 600V).
To prevent high resistance values from influencing the measurement of the leakage current, which is already low, I am looking for a solution that allows me to switch a resistor network in parallel to reduce its overall value and adapt to the case of lower battery voltages.

In this regard, not being able to use a traditional mosfet controlled by the micro due to the isolation that must exist between the high and low voltage, I had thought of using a solid state relay like the one recommended in the reference, which I already use TPSI2140 for another purpose, which however costs too much and is rather bulky. I would like to look for a more advantageous solution from these points of view.

I was wondering if there was an integrated solution that would allow me to enable one or more resistors via a one-wire protocol and that was isolated to be controlled with a micro.

Regards,

Fabio
