PMP23365: Output power inconsistencies

I'm looking over the PMP23365 reference design. The spec says it can output up to 72W. However, it is using the TPS23730 PD chip which, from its specs, can only negotiate up to 51W with the PSE. I'm sure I'm missing something, but I can't figure out what.

    You're right, the internal pass FET of the PD controller can only support 51W (current limited); however, looking at the schematic, the designer added an external bypass FET so that it can support the higher power and "short out" the internal FET. There is probably some current sharing depending on the RDSon of the FET selected but it is enough so that the current limit of the PD controller is not triggered.
