SIMPLESWITCHER-COMPONENT-CALC: Unknown component

Part Number: SIMPLESWITCHER-COMPONENT-CALC

Tool/software:

Hello,

I need help to identify these orange diodes in the pic above. My lokal store do not recognize these components. Could you tell me if it a signal or a zoner diode?

I'm greatful for answers!

Br, Nina Sund

  • Hello Nina,

Sorry but it's impossible to say without knowing where the diode is in the circuit.  If I told you, it was a 1n4148, I'd be guessing.  If you can tell me where in the circuit the diode is positioned, I can help you.

    Sorry,

    David.

  • Hello,

This diode is connected to a mosfet transistors gate pin (25N05L) and in serie before the diode there is a 331 SMD resisor. And then the circuit goes through a ULN20003A. I think this component gains the voltage from 3.5V to 12V. This 3.5V to a input channel at ULN20003A comes from a controller port AN82526.

This circuit to the mosfet is supposed to activate a solenoid so to the same gate pin at this mosfet 25N05L there is a diode earthed to ground as it usually is at solenoid controls.

Do you have any ide if it should be a zener diode or a signal diode with this information? I'm greatful for all help I can get.

I have tried to get a printed circuit diagram for this CCM module part nr 86013943 (New holland 8870 tractor) but cant find any. Do you know where I could get this? I'm greatful for all help I can get.

    Br, Nina

  • Hello Nina,

Are you saying that there is a series diode from the gate drive to the MOFET, with a series resistor?  To me, this does not make sense.  If you have a diode on the gate of a resistor it usually is accompanied by a parallel resistor, not a resistor in series.  Unless I have a schematic, I am unable to answer accurately.  I have no idea how to obtain the schematic.  Sorry,

    David.
