TIDA-010935: I have a Power Input problem. Not working.

Part Number: TIDA-010935
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PLC010935BP, LP-MSPM0G3507

Tool/software:

Hello.
I'm trying power input about TIDA-010935.

first, combine PLC010935BP with LP-MSPM0G3507.
second, I does power input with DC24V in AUX_Supply Connector.
then, I checking a hardware status.

but, Hardware status is strange.
first, Input DC24V is stopped by eFuse. (U1, TPS26624DRCR)
second, Vin_P is very low DC Voltage by eFuse.

this input test is normal operating in single PLC010935BP.
but, it's strange in combine PLC010935BP with LP-MSPM0G3507.

maybe I have a bad sequence and method?
Should I have a new setting in LP-MSPM0G3507?

It appears that have a hardware short issue or bad status.

  • Hi JunHyeon,

I will ask for another colleague's help on this design, thanks!

  • Hello
This issue cause found. but, it's strange.
I heared ringing noise about Vin_P to 12V power circuit.

    So, I read LM5164QDDARQ1 datasheet.
I found L or C value is different.

if, I want to reduce ringing noise.
    What can I do?

    Input Power is DC 24V.

  • Hello JunHyeon,

    Is your initial problem resolved?
Or are the further questions about how to power up?

The values selected in this reference design differ from the datasheet values, since we designed for a higher nominal input voltage and lower ripple.
I think you should redesign the inductor and  the capacitor for your input voltage of 24V. I think in that case the datasheet vales are better suited.

    Best regards,

    Andreas

  • Hello

I solve first issue about turn on power.
then, I found new issue about power ringing noise.

I think it's Inductor or capacitor setting is different from datasheet.
As you suggested, I think it's need to change LC setting.

the first issue is resolved, so I should this issue page is close.
    Thank you for your help.
