TIDA-010054: Closed loop - DAB_tripFlag.tripFlag

Part Number: TIDA-010054
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Tool/software:

Dear Team,

My customer is currently evaluating TIDA-010054 and has some questions. Can you please help to provide him with an answer? Thank you in advance.

  • I am trying with “Lab #3: Closed loop voltage with resistive load, prim to sec power flow”, since Variable “DAB_tripFlag.tripFlag” has been triggered, PWM/power stage doesn’t work out.
  • Every time it never disappeared even trip setting:~1kV and “vPrimSensed_Volts:~50Vin” have big margin between.
  • I measured with Osi. Scope., but nothing has been triggered of OverVoltage on Pri. side. (Even nothing shows up with single pulse.)

Do you have any idea of trouble?

  • Is there anyway to forced reset of this trip signal ? (“DAB_clearTrip” doesn't work in closedloop configuration, only it works in OpenLoop)
  • Hi Lucas,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    There is a problem in the settings in sysconfig. VPIM and VPRIM_TRIP are not allowed to be the same value.
    VPRIM needs to be higher than VPRIM_TRIP. VPRIM is the maximum voltage which can be sensed. In the original TIDA-010054 this is 1047.6V.

    If you are using a non modified TIDA-010054 HW, please use the default values shown in the design guide:
    VPRIM = 1047.6,
    VSEC = 826.8,
    VBAT_1 =1910.9,
    VBAT_2 = 956.1;
    IPRIM = 16.7,
    ISEC = 41.7,
    IPRIM_TANK = 66,
    ISEC_TANK = 66,

    The according trip values VPRIM_TRIP, VSEC_TRIP, etc need to be always smaller than the maximum sensed values.

    Best regards,

    Andreas
