PMP22806: Transformer question

Hi expert,

My customer want to refer PMP22806 to design a 25W POE, but they can't buy the transformer (LDT1069-50) which we used in PMP22806, so they found a new transformer (PW01319ST) as below datasheet. Could you help to confirm if the new transformer can be used in this reference design? Thanks.

    Hi Ryker,

    I highly recommend having the customer reach out to linkcom and getting samples. We defined this transformer with them with higher efficiency and good regulation. Looking at the specs of the FPE transformer, you will get less efficiency and less regulation due to its higher leakage, larger resistance. In addition the construction of the transformer is critical to get good regulation which is not shown in the datasheet.
