Hi Ti Team,

I have used Ucc28950 PSFB controller IC for 3.3KW PSFB and working fine

Now i want to develop 10KW charger DC DC section,Input is 600V-900V output is 90V,120A maximum,can i use UCC28950 IC for this applicatiom,is ZVS,ZCS efficiency can be achievable or can i go for C2000 digital controllers,please suggest and what support for digital controller is given'please advice

    Hello,

     

    I have not designed with the C2000 digital controller.  I do believe that you can use it in a phase shifted full bridge.  You can also use the UCD3138 digital controller can be used in a phase shifted full bridge and the UCC28950 as well.  All of these should be able to work in your power level.

     

    Digital control gives you the ability to program any special functions you might want that a standard phase shifted full bridge cannot.   If you need to find out how to work with these digital controllers please repost on the e2e with the controller part number in the title so the appropriate applications engineer can help you with your questions.

     

    If you decide, that you would like to design with the UCC28950 there is an application note at the following link that goes through the step by step design process of a PSFB using the UCC28950.  There is even a link inside the application to an excel design that goes along with the application note.
