Hi team,

I would like to make the exact same reference design as the PMP20212, however using the LM5156H instead of LM3481.

Will this be possible?

My customer has 15Vin, 300Vout with a very light load. Also they do not want to us a transformer only an inductor. Is there another solution possible with LM5156H?

Hi Wouter, looking at reference design schematic and the LM5156 datahsheet. If the power requirements doesn't change, then you could get away with the same power stage design. Probably only some of the sensing components change.

Hello Darwin,

With sensing components you mean the passives? on the schematic there is only 1 active IC.

That's correct, I was mainly talking about UVLOs and current sense resistors since not all controllers have the same thresholds. Those components might need to get adjusted. But I recommend looking at the LM5156 design calculator to help with this. Thanks!
