UCC28180: "ORPSIM-15167 - Undefined Parameter Vin and Freq"

Tool/software:

I have imported the unencrypted library file of the IC in OrCAD. While simulating, I'm getting an error "ORPSIM-15167 - Undefined Parameter Vin and Freq". 

I am not able to understand how and where to define these parameters.

    Hello Tanvi, 

    The UCC28180 PSpice model is designed to run in the "PSpice for TI" simulation program available for download at the TI.com website.

    TI does not support use of this model in any simulation program not provided by TI.

    Within "PSpice for TI", Vin and FREQ (and L) are entered as parameters in a list located at the upper left corner of the simulation schematic. 
    I invite you to download "PSpice for TI" to run this model.

    Does it mean the unencrypted file I have is not suitable for OrCAD or ANSYS?

    Hello Tanvi, 

    I do know that the unencrypted file you have is suitable for PSpice for TI, which is derived from Cadence software. 

    I don't know if the syntax of the program is suitable for OrCAD or ANSYS without any modification or adaptation. 
    Since you are experiencing errors in ORCAD, I suspect there is(are) some thing(s) about the file as written that are incompatible with ORCAD.
    I don't know, and TI does not support, whatever modifications would be needed to get the model to work in ORCAD.  

    But I will redirect this thread to the PSpice for TI support forum in case they have some better advice for you than I can give.
