PMP10783: PMP10783 powering the UCC28C42D

Part Number: PMP10783

Tool/software:

Good day Sheng-Yang.

Am designing a buck converter input voltage 80V to 120V and an output voltage of 51V, output current of 0.5A using the PMP10783 reference design. Please advice me on how I can go about powering the UCC28C42D since the output voltage is way above the recommended 20V for VDD? I think I will have to use an 18V zener diode.

I await your advice.

  • Sorry for my late reply. For such high input and output voltage application, it might make sense to use Flyback topology instead - have transformer with auxiliary winding to bias the controller also allow higher power conversion efficiency.
