Tool/software:
Hello,
I'm using TMDSHSECDOCK-AM263, with a TMDSCNCD263P Control Card. Having slightly odd startup issues with the dock.
I'm using a 5V, 3A rated supply (XY025) which is not branded so is probably cause of the fault I'm seeing.
If I power the AM263P ControlCard (or the Launchpad) individually from the power supply as normal by having the USB-C plug connected, and then plugging in the 3-pin power plug, either board powers up without an issue
However, If I try the same thing with the TMDSHSECDOCK (without or with the control card connected), the board does not startup. I debugged a little and found the USB-C controller outputs are not detecting the charger as 3A capable as OUT1 is going low, but OUT2 is staying high, i.e. 1.5A capability is being set.
If however I hot-plug the adapter (i.e. power adapter socket in, on switch enabled, then plug in USB-C power into hsecdock) - the board powers up as expected.
I find it a bit odd as both the AM263P ControlCard (and Launchpad) use the same USB-C controller (TUSB320IRWBR) - so would expect similar behaviour, especially with control card disconnected from the dock (should be low power consumption). But maybe hsecdock current draw by itself is high enough to cause issues.. maybe worth investigating?
No priority on this as i've got a workaround, just thought I'd post in case others run into the same issue.
Thanks
