TIDA-00792: Sudden SOC Drop in Low Battery Condition – 10S2P Pack Case

Part Number: TIDA-00792
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO

Tool/software:

We received more feedback from an important customer regarding a critical issue. It was reported that during low battery conditions, the SOC value under /shutdown/ drops suddenly from around 20% to 3%.

When we investigated the issue, we were able to reproduce the following scenario: On our 10S2P battery pack, when the SOC was at 0%, we charged the pack for 3 minutes at 5A. At SOC 3%, we immediately triggered a shutdown by Bqstudio. After waking the pack up again, we observed that the SOC level was 14%. The gauge parameters are as attached.

Another example of SOC variation is as follows,

Do you have any parameter suggestions or improvements we could apply to address this behavior?
