LM5156: Unable to open .DSN in Orcad Capture X

Hi,

I have downloaded the PSpice files from the LM5156 page, but I can't open the .DSN/.OPJ file in Orcad Capture. I get the following error: "ERROR(ORCAP-1653): Unable to load file"

I'm on 24.1 S003 if that matters. Any tips?

    Thank you for using e2e forum.

    Could you please cross check if the below mentioned items are looked into
    - did you unzip the files before opening them?
    - can you open other files besides the .dsn file, or does not of the files work?
    - if you download a different PSpice model, does this file fail as well, or is it just the LM5156 model?

    Hi,

    - Yes, I unzipped the folder before trying to open the .dsn.

    - I cannot open the .OLB/.DSN/.OPJ, but I can open the .LIB in Orcad, but these are simply text files no?

    - I just downloaded and opened the .dsn of the LM5170 PSpice transient model just fine.

    I am using version 23.1-2023
    Here the model works fine

    Customer uses 24.1-2024

    Hi,

    I reached out to my local Cadence distributor and they confirmed there was an issue with the licensing. Apparently you can only have 250 devices in a simulation using the OrCAD X Proffesional license.

    Thank you for your help though.
