DS90UB983-Q1CEVM: DS90UB983-Q1CEVM

Part Number: DS90UB983-Q1CEVM

Tool/software:

Hello,

I’ve been Working with the DS90Ux983-Q1CEVM, which, according to the user guide, does not support EDID functionality over the DP AUX channel. It states that a standard PC DisplayPort source cannot be used unless it allows bypassing EDID detection and supports forcing a custom resolution output.

However, I noticed that the DS90Ux983-Q1CEVM  includes an AT24C02D EEPROM, and I was wondering if this could potentially be used to store and serve an EDID file.
I flashed the EEPROM with a 2K EDID file corresponding to our display panel. The flashing process completed without errors, and the content was verified. However, the system still does not behave as though EDID is being detected by the source, which leads me to believe that additional configuration or register settings might be required to enable this functionality.
Could you please confirm whether:
  1. The EEPROM on the DS90Ux983-Q1CEVM can be used to serve EDID information to the source?
  2. If so, what configurations or register settings are required to enable or activate this behavior?
Thanks again for your support,

Kareem
