PMP23421: Where is the source of 12V power rail in the reference design

Part Number: PMP23421
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC27211

Tool/software:

Hi All,

When I check PMP23421's schematic. I found there is no source for this 12V power rail.

And I don't know why GaN interface need a 12V power rails but never used?

pls help me figure out these two question, tell me what part I should add to achieve 12V power rail. Thanks

BR,

Peng

  • Hi Peng,

For the 12V bias there should be an external dc source to connect it. For the 12V on PS card, it is because the first version was using Silicon FETs. So that the 12V was a bias for UCC27211(shown as following). It is no longer required due to GaNFET instead.
