UC1901: UC1901 status pin going on/off during operation

Part Number: UC1901

Tool/software:

Trying to simulate uc1901 in TINA-T I, when varying the inv pin voltage from 1.53V to 1.36 volt (in pink), compensator output is changing accordingly(light grey) but peak detector output is not regulating (in yellow) and status pin is somehow switching (in grey). I dont understand why is that, is it like UC1901 is getting off in between due to some reason?

  • Hi,

    Is yellow VF1 or Vout?

If yellow is VF1 or Vout, you can check DRIVERA and DRIVERB peak values and if their values do not change, VF1 and VOUT cannot change. DRIVERA and B peak values are related to VIN, in your circuit VIN stays the same value so DRVIERA and B peak values do not change then VF1 and VOUT do not change.

Otherwise, please clarify where is yellow measured from your circuit?
