Hello, 

I would like to create a custom polarized capacitor, but I'm not sure what to specify for the ESR as the value depends on frequency. Could you clarify on this matter?

    Hi Khoi,

    Following are the two ways to determine the ESR of the polarized capacitor.

    1. If datasheet specifies a value at 1 MHz, use that value of ESR

    2. Else if datasheet shows a ESR (or impedance) versus frequency graph use the bottom-most value.
