TIDA-010249: TIDA-010249 design doubt regarding VCOM and VCOM1

Hi Team, 

I have gone through TIDA-010249 design, have some doubts in connections of VCOM. In schematics its shows like VCOM and VCOM1 nets are shorted in hierarchal design. Is it really shorted? what is the concept of this. Please guide.
