TPS61299: TPS61299 Decrypted SPICE model

We would like to perform a circuit simulation with the TPS61299. Unfortunately, TI only provides the encrypted PSpice model on the product website. Is it possible to get access to a model that we can use in LTspice? If an NDA is required, can quantitative simulation results of the DC/DC converter used in an end-to-end simulation be published in a paper? We would like to report overall efficiency numbers for the complete system that includes a TPS61299.

Hi Lukas,

due to the soft ware inaccuracy, do not recommend to simulate the efficiency data. The efficiency might vary a lot from the bench test.

Hi Nini,
thank you for your reply. What we need for now is a first order approximation of the overall system efficiency and a SPICE simulation currently seems to be the best way to get there. At a later stage, the most promising design point will be prototyped and evaluated on real hardware.

The conditions are dynamic and vary significantly for both VIN and the load current. This is why we request access to a useable SPICE model to estimate the average overall system efficiency. For a static operating point, we could have simply used the efficiency diagrams shown in the datasheet.

Pspice is ideal model, so it's not proper to simulate the efficiency using this. By the way, what is the Vin range, target output voltage ?

Hi,
what do you mean by "ideal model"? The input voltage varies from 0-3.0 V, the output voltage is set to 2.0 V. The output current varies from 0-15 mA.
