I have a design using TPLD801-Q1, I like to use in-system programming to program this TPLD, what signal pins that I need to reseved for the programming tool, and how to process the programming.

Hi Jason,

Take a look at the Application Brief TPLD In-System Developing for help with this. You need five pins for programming, but you can still use them after the device is programmed.

As a heads up, the general-purpose input (GPI) pin will sustain a high-voltage (VPP) during programming. Take special precaution with peripherals connected to this pin if performing in-system programming.

Thanks to your proper respond, base on this application brief, TPLD can be configured with SPI or I2C, this application only shows the way of SPI to configure TPLD, How about the way to use I2C, may it use less IO pins to configure TPLD?

Hi Jason,

TPLD801 can only be configured with SPI. Only TPLD2001 and TPLD1202 can be configured with both SPI and I2C.

As a heads up, the Application Brief TPLD In-System Developing is not for permanent configuration. It's refers to only temporary configuration.
