PSPICE-FOR-TI: TPS61030:PSpice Model Malfunction

Part Number: PSPICE-FOR-TI
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61030

After downloading the “TPS61030 Unencrypted PSpice Transient Model Package (Rev. A)” provided in the datasheet and attempting to run it in PSpice for TI, an error occurred.
I would like assistance in resolving this issue.
  • Hello,

Thanks for using the e2e forum.
The responsible engineer for this PSpice model is currently out of office.
I had a look at the model files instead and found there is a syntax error in the netlist file. It is a wrongly placed bracket "}"

I fixed the line and now the model is running properly again.
We will upload a revised version of the model to the ti.com website in the near future.

In the meantime, please use this file instead:
    SLIM126_fixed.zip

    Best regards,
    Niklas

  • Thank you for your support.
The simulation is now running, but I am still not getting a 5V output.
Could you please check it again?
  • Thanks for the feedback.
Did you run the testbench for the full simulation time?
The default simulation is a start-up, meaning VOUT is slowly ramp up (First to the VIN level, then the device starts switching and VOUT further increases to 5V)
If this is not happening on your side, feel free to send me screenshot of your simulation outputs and I will have a look.

    Best regards,
    Niklas

  • Thanks Niklas for helping to reply.
