Hi all,
We are considering a system that generates an arbitrary DC voltage from AC voltage while improving the power factor.
In your application note TIDA-010954, it does not seem that the AC-side current is made to follow the AC voltage.
Is this cycloconverter capable of adjusting the power factor? If the operation differs between DC to AC mode and AC to DC mode, please explain each case separately. If your TIDA-010954 does not perform PFC operation, can you determine or simulate the phase difference between the current and voltage?
We would like to consider whether we can develop based on your cycloconverter or if we need to advance to a matrix converter.
