Hi,
I have attempted to import the TPS51085 Spice model into TINA-TI, and I got the following error.
Invalid device: $CDNENCSTART. Line: #41.
$CDNENCSTART
followed by:
The circuit cannot be opened or cannote be converted to a macro.
I am running version 9 of TINA-TI. I used the New Macro Wizard, and I selected TPS61085 as the subcircuit since the wizard found more than one subcircuit in the .lib file.
Please help.
Ryan,
The PSpice models in the TI product folders for power products are encrypted and can only be used in PSpice version 15.7 or higher. If you need the model in TINA-TI, please let me know and I will get the model converted into a .TSM file.
Britt
I'm having the same issue, although I'm trying to use TINA-TI to simulate a TPS62163 . I'd also like to get the TPS62133, TPS2115A and LM3410 converted to work with TINA-TI as well if possible.
Shawn,
All of the Power PSpice models in the product folders are encrypted and can only be used in PSpice version 15.7 or higher. If there is a PSpice model for the device in the product folder, we are in the process of converting it to TINA (with a few exceptions). The TPS62163 and TPS62133 are in the queue to be converted. I will increase their priority, however, I do not have a schedule for their completion. The TPS2115A and LM3410 do not have PSpice models in the product folder.
The LM3410 is available in Webench.
Britt
Hi Ryan,
The TPS61085 TINA model was uploaded to the product folder in case you are still looking for it: http://www.ti.com/product/tps61085#toolssoftware.

Hello,
i´ve the same problem. I use the TPS78228. There is no model available. The TPS71728 seems to have a comparable transient behavior. Unfortunately there´s just a PSpice Model available. Could you let me know if there´s another alternative or if there´s a file available which can be used with Tina Ti?
Thank you very much.
Florian
Florian,
Currently, there is no model planned for the TPS78228.
I will check on the TPS71728 to see if we can get it translated to TINA-TI.

Thank you very much in advance. Is it possible to convert the PSpice-Models of the TPS73533 and/or TPS79933 into a Tina-Model (as comparable models for the TPS78233)?
Regards.
Hi Thinwybk.
The TPS73533 TINA model is attached below. It will also be uploaded to the product folder soon.

Hello Nikhil,
thank you very much. The TI support is realy great!!!

Hi,
I have the same issue with TPS61175 PSPICE model. It would be possible to have it converted for TINA-TI?
Thank you.
Ilario
Ilario,
I will enter the request for the TPS61175 to be converted to TINA-TI.
Britt
Hi Ilario,
The TPS61175 TINA-TI model has been released to the web. It should appear under the product folder in 1-2 days. Let me know if you need it earlier.
Best regards,
Hi,
For the TPS53318 and TPS53319 I get the following error.
"Invalid device: $CDNENCSTART. Line #38" when the TINA is trying to parse the .lib file
Can you please upload the right model for TINA.
thanks
Jedi
Jedi,
Did you read the entire thread on this issue? The PSpice models for power products in the product folders are encrypted and can only be used in PSpice version 15.7 or higher. They cannot be imported into TINA-TI directly.
I will enter a request for the two models (TPS53318 and TPS53319) to be converted to TINA-TI.
Britt
Hi,
I've experienced the same problem with the LM3150 model. I now understand why...
Could you please request the conversion for TINA-TI?
I know LM3150 is available in WEBENCH and I've already simulated there but I'm having some issues with the real circuit and I wanted to simulate it in TINA, because it's not that easy to change things in WEBENCH.
Thanks in advance
PEDRO
Hi Pedro,
I have added this model translation to the queue. I will get back to you as soon as it is completed.
Thanks,
Hi,
Thank you for the quick response.
By the way, do you have any idea how long can it take?
Pedro
Hi Pedro,
We are targeting end of this month. I will send you a note as soon as it is ready.
Best regards,
Hi Jedi,
The TPS53318 and TPS53319 TINA-TI models were released to the product folder today. It should show up in 1-2 days. Let me know if you have any issues accessing the models from the respective product folders.
Thanks,
Hi Pedro,
The LM3150 TINA-TI model was released to the product folder today. It should show up after the next update. Let me know if you have any issues accessing it.
Best regards,
I am not able to use the SM74611 diode transient model in TINA. Please convert it to .TSM model and upload on the website.
Hi Abhijit,
The TSC Reference Design that was released already has the TSM included in it. You can simply copy and paste the device symbol (found in the TSC) on to a new schematic or use the released TSC file and modify it to match your test bench.
Best regards,
Hello
I have the same problem with the UCC27519
http://www.ti.com/product/ucc27519?qgpn=ucc27519
Would it be possible to convert the model in TINA-TI?
Thanks in advance
Andreas
Hi
I have the same problem with the LM5118 model. (Encrypted Pspice model only)
Could you maybe upload a TINA-TI model as well, please?
regards
Johan
Hi Johan,
We are working on adding the LM25118 into TINA-TI. Will this work for you?
Thanks,
Hi,
I was trying to import the spice file for LM5023 and keep getting an error that says "missing syntax element. Line #3". Do you know how to get the spice file to be imported properly? I am using TINA to build my schematic.
Do you know where I could find a spice file for the UCC28701? The actual component is on Webench, but when trying to simulate the schematic I cannot find the component.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you .
Marina,
I will add the LM5023 to the TINA translation queue. As you can see from the other entries in this thread, the PSpice models for power products are encrypted an cannot be used in any other simulator other than PSpice version 15.7 or higher.
The UCC28017 currently does not have a PSpice model available. We are adding models to the TI product folders regularly as they become available. I do not have any time estimate for this particular product.
Britt
Marina,
The LM5023 TINA models are already on the Web in the product folder. You should not be trying to import the PSpice model into TINA if the TINA model and reference design are already there in the folder.
http://www.ti.com/product/lm5023
Scroll down to the Models section and you will see the TINA models are already available.
Britt
Hi Britt,
I already have the LM5023 file. I would like to know how to insert the part into my design without getting an error. Is there a way you could tell me a step by step way of doing that please?
-Marina
Marina,
Sure thing. The .TSM file from the .zip file on the web is all that you need. If you have it saved on your computer, simply select Insert--> Macro... A navigation window will appear. Navigate to your stored location and select the file. It will insert it into your schematic.
If you use the reference design, you can simply open the .TSC file, left click on the LM5023, and hit ctrl-c. Open your schematic in another tab and hit ctrl-v and it will place the macro into your schematic. Either way should work fine.
Britt
Hi Nikhil
You mentioned that you guys are working on a tina-ti spice model for the LM25118.......when about do you guess it will be ready?
regards
Johan
Hi Johan,
The LM25118 TINA-TI model was released to the product folder last week. You can access it from under "Tools and Software" .
Best regards,
Hi,
I have attempted to import the TPS3831 Spice model into TINA-TI, and I got the following error.
Invalid device: $CDNENCSTART. Line:
$CDNENCSTART
followed by:
The circuit cannot be opened or cannote be converted to a macro.
I used the New Macro Wizard, and I selected TPS3831 as the subcircuit since the wizard found more than one subcircuit in the .lib file.
Please help.
Mindaugas,
The TPS3831 PSpice model is encrypted and can only be used in PSpice version 15.7 or higher. I will add it to the TINA-TI translation queue. Which version of the TPS3831 would you like translated? There are 8 different variations.
Britt
Mindaugas,
The TINA-TI translations are complete and should appear in the TI Product folders over the weekend.
Britt
Could you add the model of TPS73230 to the list to be converted? There is already a TINA model of TPS73250, the only difference being 3.0V versus 5.0V.
Thanks.
