XDS110ISO-EVM: XDS100V2 and XDS110 Debug Probe - Design files

Part Number: XDS110ISO-EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDSEMU110-U

Hi,

Could you please share the schematics of XDS100V2 and XDS110 debug probes for my design references.

Warm Regards,

Mythili B

  • Hi Mythili,

Before diving in, a couple of important notes:

    • XDS100V2: I was unable to locate any schematics or design files for the XDS100V2 debug probe in the available documentation. This may be an older/legacy product, or the design files may not be publicly available. You may need to reach out to TI support directly or clarify the exact part number you're referencing.
    • XDS110 standalone probe vs. XDS110ISO-EVM: The design files I found are specifically for the XDS110ISO-EVM — which is the isolation adapter board for the XDS110 debug probe, not the standalone XDS110 debug probe (TMDSEMU110-U) itself. If you need the core XDS110 probe's internal schematics, those may not be publicly released.

That said, the XDS110ISO-EVM design files are quite useful as a reference since they include the XDS110 debug circuitry with isolation.

    XDS110ISO-EVM Design Files

The XDS110ISO-EVM User Guide (SPRUJE1) contains hardware schematics, assembly drawings, and a bill of materials [1]. Complete design files — including schematics and BOM — are available for download from the hardware design files section of that user guide [1].

The schematic document (SPRR505) provides the detailed circuit design [2], which shows:

    • MSP432E401YTPDT microcontroller as the primary XDS110 debug controller [2]
    • ISO1644DWR and ISO7741DWR digital isolators providing galvanic isolation (up to 1kVRMS) between the debug probe and target connector [2][3]
    • Support for JTAG, cJTAG, and SWD debug protocols [1]

    Regarding XDS100V2

No design files were found for the XDS100V2 through the available documentation channels. I'd recommend posting a follow-up specifying the exact XDS100V2 part number, or contacting your TI field applications engineer (FAE) directly — they may be able to provide access to restricted design resources if they exist.
