TPS1663: TPS16630PWPT information

Part Number: TPS1663

Dear Texas Instruments Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am currently evaluating the TPS16630PWPT device for a power distribution application and would like to clarify a couple of points regarding its operation and simulation support. In particular, I would like to confirm whether the device is expected to operate correctly if the SHDN_N pin is left floating and not connected to any external signal.

In addition, I am performing system-level simulations using LTspice and noticed that the available simulation files appear to be encrypted for Cadence/PSpice tools. I would therefore like to ask whether an LTspice-compatible simulation model, or alternatively a generic and unencrypted SPICE model, is available for the TPS16630.

Thank you very much for your time and support. I look forward to your response.

Kind regards,
Duarte Rodrigues

  • Hi Duarte,

it is okay to leave floating SHDN_N pin, it won't create any issues.

comes to PSPICE you can use the model which is available in product website. We cannot share the unencrypted version files those are under NDA.

if you need encrypted one's approach local region sales guy in your area, he will route you to us, then we will provide.

    thanks,

    Hemanth
