Does anyone know the temperature simulation limits for the TPS40200 within Tina9-TI?
Using the example circuit: TPS40200_TRANS_BUCK and modifying the parameter: Temperature in environment from the default of 27C I see failures at higher temperatures. It appears to work at 51C but fails at 52C.
Experimenting I have changed the MOSFET drive to a Square Wave Voltage Generator at 300Khz. The output circuit will continue to work up to 130C until the Schottky Diode fails.
My conclusion is that the TPS40200 library needs improvment in the temperature model. Are they any other model limitations I should be aware of?
My application is a deep well logging instrument running at 150 C.
