Hi!
I'm a trainee and for my subject i want to use a LM2674-5.0, SMD.
But I need to do the PCB before with OrCAD PCB.
Does it exist a prepared file for this device ?
Thanks.

Hi Kevin,
The LM2674 comes in multiple packages. You can download the preferred symbol and footprint from http://www.national.com/cad/cad.cgi?partno=lm2674. You'll need to export to your desired format using the free Ultra Librarian reader. Instructions are on the page I pointed you to.

Hi,
I dowloaded them but I've some problems.
On 3 packages that i want (8 pins packages) there is 4 pins (numbers 5/6/7/8) which are inverted.
So i wanted to modify them on OrCAD PCB Editor but i can't...don't know why always errors or versions problems.
I've the 16.3 version, and i tried with all formats.
Sorry for the approximative enlish !
Best regards,
Kevin
Hi Kevin,
I looked at LM2674M-5.0.bxl. While the ordering of the pins on the schematic symbol does not match what is shown in the datasheet, they are appropriately named and are correctly mapped to the footprint pads. It is not required that the locations of the pins in the schematic symbol correspond directly to the relative pad locations in the footprint. You should be able to use the symbol as is, without issue.

Oliver
Thanks, i see now that the footprint is good!
But i still can't export the .bxl to the appropriate extension tu use it with OrCAD vision and OrCAD PCB Editor (my schematic is already made, I've just to link this footprint with the schematic part on OrCAD vision).
Thanks.
Hi Kevin,
I'm not familiar with a program called OrCAD Vision. Can you tell me what file name extensions the program requires? Can it import other formats?
I'm attaching a zip file that includes the files that should allow you to get the footprint into OrCAD Layout (V9 or newer).

Oliver
Hi Kevin,
Try exporting to Allegro. Orcad PCB is really Allegro PCB just renamed and restricted somewhat.
