Hi,

I have downloaded the UC1846 spice model from the TI website. I am using Simetrix to run some simulations with the aforementioned model but I keep on getting an error message saying that the device has 2 terminals. Do you know if this model is compatible with simetrix? Simetrix is picking it up and creating the symbol correctly but when you try to run a simulation it finds multiple errors.

Hi Rodrigo,

The PSPICE and TINA models on the web for this product are encrypted and can only be used in the native simulator. We provide TINA-TI to our customers which is a free SPICE simulator. The TINA-TI model along with a standard testbench is already setup in the TINA reference Design so it provides out of the box simulation success.

You can download TINA from here: http://www.ti.com/tool/tina-ti and the UC1846 TINA model/reference design can be found here: http://www.ti.com/product/uc1846#simulationmodels. In case you still want to use these models in Simetrix, you can request the unencrypted model through your local Field contact.

Hi Nikhil,

Thanks for you reply, unfortunately I have to use Simetrix as part of my company's policy, Could you please let me know what I need to do to get the un-encrypted model?
