Problem simulating TPS61170 at tina-ti

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61170

Hello, i tried to perform a transient analysis but an error occured associated with tps61170 model.
The error was : "TLD pin: pwpd does not match any pin of the macro component".1732.texas charge pump.TSC
I uploaded the schematic, any help would be appreciated.

  • Yiannis,

    I have confirmed your issue.

    It appears that there is a problem with the component and the symbol not matching. Please open the example for the TPS61170:

    Open Examples...--> Smps -->TPS61170-->TPS61170_TRANS

    Remove the TPS61170 from your schematic and replace it with the one from the examples circuit (ctrl-C to copy, ctrl-V to place it in your circuit)

    Connect the PWPD pin to ground. Your simulation should now run. Please note that I used "Use Initial conditions" in the transient window. Also, using a constant current source as your load is not usually a good practice. The device usually will see a load that ramps up as the output voltage of the device rises during startup if the load is ohmic.

    Here is the file I used:

    5556.cp_update.TSC
