Problem with TPS40054 design

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS40054

I'm working on a buck converter using the TPS40054.  It's generating a R_ILIM resistor (connected to pin 16) of 0-ohm, which looks like it would cause the converter to be permanently stuck in current-limit.  The current limit threshold on the Analysis tab is listed at 1.8A, and based on this I calculate a value of around 6.1K.  Is this a bug in SwitcherPro?

  • this is definitly a bug in switcherPro,  when in doubt always fall back on the datasheet.  We'll add this to the bug list and get it taken care of asap.

  • This issue is fixed. We released a new version v3.1 today. Please check it to see the fix for the issue you ahve reported.
