SwitcherPro V.1.2.5 release today

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54617, TPS61087, TPS54231, TPS54233, TPS54610, TPS54286

Folks,

SwitcherPro V1.2.5 released today.  It's got a few new parts and some new EVM designs.  We've updated some of the icons.

We added a great new boost part TPS61087 for light loads, and a couple of new SWIFT buck devices TPS54231, TPS54233 and TPS54617.

Multiple technology enhancements are in place under the hood to make sure this new version is as fast it can be.

Thanks everyone for your continued interest in this software tool.

We appreciate your feedback.

  • Hi I have been using Switcher Pro for the last couple of weeks in order to study designing with TPS54610.I have the Eval Board EVM-213(TPS-54610 with ceramic Capacitors) though I have not been able to find the same EVM on Switcher Pro.Could you include the same?

    Also it would have been useful had you included the plots for inductor current,Load current and other waveforms as an option.This option was present in the earlier SWIFT designer but surprisingly is absent on Switcher Pro.

  • I am sorry to tell you this, but the new version is not working on my design! It was working fine on Thursday, but Friday...Caput. I noticed the new icons and surmised that a new version had been loaded. Your entry just confirmed my suspicions.

    Part: TPS54286

    Vin = 4.75-5.25V

    Vo1=3.3 @ 1.7A

    Vo2=1.0 @ .5 A

    The schematic comes up, but it will not allow me to change the inductors or the load capcitors. A window opens with the following message:

    System Exception:

    There was an error processing your transaction.
    Please close your web browser, open a new browser window, and try again.
    SwitcherPro support has been notified of this error.

    Of course these components are fundamental to the design, so I am dead in the water. I have been waiting for a call from TI here in San Diego area for 3 days now with no response.

    I was very impressed for the one day that the software worked. This is an indispencable tool since the data sheet is a bit unclear about loop response modeling.

    How soon can this be fixed? We are laying out our board as this is being written an desire completion by this Friday. I am getting desparate.

    Thank you,

    Larry
