Our customer was using SwitcherPro to evaluate a light load design. They had a 4V to 12V input and wanted a 3.3V output at 100mA. The effeciency curves for the TPS62110 design only showed the poor effeciency of the PWM mode. If the PFM mode can not be simulated we should at least add a note to the effeciency tab that states that higher effeciencies are possible on the device in the PFM mode at light loads. It would be nice to have the option to simulate either mode.
Also, the default inductor value was too high. This was noted in a previous blog. The EVM supports our design criteria and uses a 6.8 uH inductor instead of the 33 uH suggested by SwitcherPro.
