DRV103:Pspice Model - Pin 194 &195, NO CONNECT doesnt work

The PSpice model you are using is encrypted and can only be used in PSpice version 15.7 or higher. The free student version cannot understand the encrypted PSpice .lib file. We do have a free circuit simulator (TINA-TI) that you could use as well and we could provide you the TINA model for the device.

I am incorrect. The PSpice model is not encrypted. Let me do some more checking.

When you created your DC sweep simulation profile, did you add a library to point to the DRV103.lib file? You may have to update the link to point to the .lib file location where you saved the .lib file. Check this and if it is correct, I may need you to send me your PSpice directory in a .zip file so I can debug it.

Thanks for your reply. I am currently without internet at home so couldnt reply during the weekend. Ok, i did not know that i was supposed to add the lib files in simulation profile. I added the same.

Now, the simulation doesnt even initiate; i get a pop up refering to the sessions log which states:
UNCONNECTED PIN, no FLOAT property or FLOAT = e U2 pin '194'

UNCONNECTED PIN, no FLOAT property or FLOAT = e U2 pin '195'

Also i have added the Zip file you asked for.

I cannot open a rar file. I have looked at the pdf file you posted. It appears that PSpice would like you to connect something to the 194 and 195 nodes. Simply connect a short wire to each (letting them float) and see if the error goes away or changes to a warning. When the symbol was made for the device the pins were not set up to float without a connection. In the reference design we supply, the pins have short wires connected to both pins.

Thanks for your reply. The Circuit is OK but cant be simulated due to limitations of the Pspice evaluation software(Only 64 nodes are allowed). Although my circuit(as shown) doesnt seem to have so many nodes but i will keep trying.

Could you please tell me (from my circuit) if the number of nodes are actually more than 64? because as far as i see its doesnt seem to cross the limit.

And would the DRV103 Spice model work with LTspice? because LTspice has a limit of 140 nodes.

I overlooked the aspect of ZIP file, will try to upload it asap.

There is a reference design and model for the DRV103 in TINA-TI in the product folder currently. The best option would be to download TINA-TI and use the TINA reference design in the product folder.

Thanks a lot for all the info. I have started working with TIN_TI using the "Getting Started Guide".
I will model the Device and the circuit and ask question as and when they pop-up. Thank you again!
