Diode datasheet values do not match SwitcherPro library values for BAS40LP

Hello-

SwitcherPro suggests using BAS40LP for my current design, however, the forward current listed in the SwitcherPro part library does not match the forward current listed in the datasheet.

SwitcherPro lists 1A forward current for BAS40LP, but the Diodes, Inc. datasheet (ds30503.pdf) lists 200mA forward continuous current, and 600mA forward surge current. Please advice why SwitcherPro lists a larger forward current.

HI Hetal,

Please also check the B230A schottky diode in the switcherpro library. its listed there as a 40V BV diode where per its diodes inc spec it is a 30V device.

We checked all diodes and all fields. We have fixed B230A, too. This fix will release in a day or two. Thanks for reporting.

Don't know if the fix is posted yet but if so please take a look at SDM10K45. As of 3/16/2010 SwitcherPro lists it as a 10A part but the data sheet shows max average current is 100mA at 25C and peak surge at 1A.

Our release of version v3.6 got pushed to March 18th. We have fixed all diodes from Diodes Inc. in that version. Thanks for reporting.
